For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding travelers from around the world through the fascinating landscapes, traditions, and spirit of Japan. But my journey as a guide is more than just about showing beautiful places – it’s about telling the story of Japan in a way that connects deeply with each visitor.
My background is in media and documentary production. Since founding SGK-PRODUCTION in 2000, I’ve spent years creating films and television content for major broadcasters like NHK WORLD, exploring Japan’s cultural heritage, historical figures, and local traditions. I’ve worked alongside Japanese and international celebrities, collaborated with production crews from Israel and beyond, and traveled to some of the most remote and extraordinary places in the country to tell authentic, untold stories.
This deep dive into Japan’s soul through film gave me something rare – not just a surface-level understanding, but a profound familiarity with the people, the places, and the pulse of the country. And it’s this experience that I bring to every tour I lead.
Whether we’re walking through Kyoto’s ancient temples, exploring the hidden alleys of Tokyo, witnessing the snow monkeys of Nagano, or standing in awe at the foot of Mt. Fuji – my mission is to turn every journey into a personal story. I don’t just guide tours; I curate experiences that blend historical insight, cultural context, and breathtaking beauty.
Over the years, I’ve guided individuals, families, diplomats, artists, and television crews – tailoring each experience to the passions and curiosity of the traveler. My work is not just about logistics, but about immersion: food, architecture, festivals, spirituality, and daily life – the real Japan, as seen through the lens of someone who has lived here for nearly three decades.
What makes my tours unique is not only my deep knowledge of Japan, but the storyteller’s touch I bring to every encounter. With a camera in one hand and a map in the other, I’ve spent years capturing Japan’s essence – now, I invite you to discover it with me in person.
If you’re planning a journey to Japan and want to explore it in a way that goes beyond the surface – with meaning, inspiration, and unforgettable moments – I would be honored to guide you
